Difficulties with oversize loads
Transporting oversized loads is not easy there are many difficulties that loom along the way. Large items are designed and built inside sheds – gates to these yards and to delivery sites are often too small or very difficult to negotiate.
The roads we travel vary from highways with traffic to narrow country roads - dirt roads with hills and sharp corners. Experienced, skilled and patient drivers are required.
Along the way we have traffic signage, traffic, bridges and rail crossings to negotiate, easy in a car not so easy with a huge load behind one.
Accidents do occur, trees clip loads, people ignore danger and try and overtake- are we perfect ,no but we aim for excellence.
