These trailers are utilised to reduce the height of a load.
We have a custom built drop deck extendable trailer that was built at Oversize Transport. It is able to take heavier loads and is constantly in use due to its versatility for loading difficult items.

These specialist trailers allow for extra length loads. When extended they can only take a maximum of 20T.
Thinking outside of the box is important with difficult loads. This copper kiln was being moved from Melbourne to Mckay – 3 states and numerous shires. The low boy for tanks could not be used due to the distance. The load would be too high for the distance to be traveled by any other trailer. Innovative planning came to the fore. A beam was used and supports built to go in the middle of the kiln and then a steerable jinker used. An extra-ordinary load requires extra-ordinary logistical planning.
Designed to accommodate heavy loads with over-height, over-width and over-length dimensions.
Oversize Transport has a new 100 T float which is now operational.

This piece of equipment allows for maneuverability of large loads. They are steered through hazards such as traffic circles, corners ,traffic lights and general in town roads.
The operators require skill, experience and patience. Team work is imperative with constant communication between the driver, jinker operator and escorts.

A specially designed and built trailer to allow for over-height tanks etc. Used for short distances.
Oversize transport was bought by Gerry van der Westhuizen in April 2003 with 6 trucks. As of May 2008 we have 19 trucks.
We prefer ‘cab overs’ as we need the extra length they give for our over dimensional work. Large engine capacities are required for over mass loads as well as efficient performance for over dimensional transportation.
Our equipment is maintained by in house workshops and we adhere to the accreditation requirements for reporting and maintenance.
